Sara Butruff, the owner of Travel Leaders--Galaxy Travel in Apple Valley, Minn., does something a little differently than a lot of agency owners: her agencies charge service fees for theme park vacations. Butruff is a major proponent for service fees in general, but is something of a standout in the Disney agency community with two levels of fees: the Magic Touch Concierge Fee and the White Glove Service. Listen in to hear about both, as well as Butruff's conversation with host Jamie Biesiada ranging from the latest news (Disney100, Universal's kid-friendly theme park and more), and what her clients headed to theme parks want right now. Also learn just how many sets of ears Butruff has in her spare-bedroom-turned-closet (spoiler: we're talking triple digits!). And, hang around for the "lightening" round for some top-notch snack suggestions.
Disney and Universal news is the main topic until the 19:40 mark, when the conversation turns to Butruff's business model and fee structure.
Selling the Mouse is a five-part miniseries, brought to you by Trade Secrets, a travel advisor-focused business development podcast. Trade Secrets is in its third season with new episodes every other Monday.
