Contiki is launching its first trip to South Korea in the spring.
The eight-night South Korea Soul itinerary is a roundtrip journey from Seoul, visiting such cities as Basan, Gangnam and Seongsu as well as sites like the Demilitarized Zone and Jeonju, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
The tour operator said the destination has become one of the most sought-after destinations, with K-pop and K-beauty enjoying continued success and the popularity of films and TV shows like "Parasite" and "Squid Game."

We're delighted to be launching this trip," said Taryn Welsh, operations director, Asia at Contiki. "It does a great job of showcasing both the modern and traditional aspects of this diverse and wonderful country."
Among the highlights of the tour:
Travelers will experience the country's high-speed rail system on a journey from Seoul to Busan and will visit the historical Awon Museum & Hanok Stay, a hotel with an art gallery inside. They can attend a baseball game and will have a chance to be the stars of their own K-pop music video during a stop at HIKR Ground, an Extended Reality exhibition space and popular tourist attraction. A traditional Korean breakfast and a Korean barbecue dinner on the final night of the tour are also planned.
The first departure of the South Korea Soul tour is March 22. Fares start at $2,282 per person.
