Two Aruba resorts have created packages as part of Paradise on Tap, an Aruba initiative that highlights the quality of the island's tap water and encourages visitors to drink tap rather than bottled water. Aruba turns the Caribbean Sea water, its only H2O source, into tap water, and the island is proud that it caught the attention of Martin Riese, a "water sommelier" who travels the world, tasting tap water and sharing his results with followers on the Web. The packages draw their inspiration from that water source.
The Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort's Regenerative Tranquility Package includes complimentary activities including beach yoga, a tai chi and qigong energy healing session, mindfulness beach walks, three daily meals and a private consultation with the resort's wellness specialist. Extra activities include a Nature Life Coaching session ($125, cash), a Sacred Massage of Totomo session ($155, room charge), a sound healing session ($135, cash) and a Starfish Snorkel private sail ($700, credit card). Booking date runs until August, with stay dates from May to August. A seven-night-minimum stay is required. Only rooms and meal plans are commissionable.
The Boardwalk on Aruba's Paradise on Tap package includes early-morning floating meditation in the resort's tranquility pool, a three-course ocean inspired lunch or dinner for two at the Coco Cafe and an Ocean Waves couples' massage at the on-property spa by Aruba Wellness Therapies. The price is $350 per couple plus room cost. Neither package nor rooms is commissionable.
