Princess Cruises has rolled out a new app, featuring a new interface with quicker access to features, fonts that are easier to read and "enhanced personalization."

Princess also said the new app uses less memory and consumes less power than the previous one.

The new app retains base features from the original app, including OceanReady streamlined boarding, dining reservations, guest services chat and the line's OceanNow service on demand. The app will also keep the guest-to-guest wayfinding and navigation tools. All activity from the original app will transfer to the new app, the line said.

Guests currently using the original app will continue to be able to do so if they prefer.

The new app is available in the Apple App Store and Android Play store.
